Transfer duty halved by Queensland Government

From 1st July 2009, the Queensland Government has increased the the threshold for transfer duty on vacant block of land.First home buyers who purchase vacant land to build their new home will receive:

1saving approx $5675, due to the increase in the transfer duty threshold for first home buyers purchasing vacant land – from $150,000 to $250,000.

2concessions for the purchase of vacant land – valued up to $400,000.
